Michelle Finn, who was one of my stellar interns, has offered to help you out by:
- finding resources you need - e.g. Do you need a map of the tar sands? Do you need a link to an appropriate YouTube clip of Dante's Inferno? Do you need press releases from G8 summits from the past announcing the location of the summit? Do you need a link or screen capture from Google Earth? (You get the idea...)
- writing out short (e.g. 1 page) background information sheets - e.g. 1-page overview of different energy projects that include information that will match the criteria you're building for a project that will have a significant positive impact; or several 1-page information sheets that describes the perspectives of 5 different stakeholders on a particular issue, etc.
I know you're all swamped and working very hard to flesh out challenges and Michelle has graciously agreed to do some of this work to help you find those details you might not have time to hunt for (Thank you Michelle!).
Below, please post any needs you have. It will be useful to provide either a link to the challenge on this wiki or a bit of detail (e.g. "The criteria kids are using for a sustainable community are... so, I need some information on these 2 cities that includes enough information that they could address each of the criteria...").

I was wondering if you could assist me in gathering relevant headlines, quotes, and pictures regarding the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. This will act as an alternative to students reading the entire article from the National Geographic (“Gulf Oil Spill Worst in US History” http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/05/100527-energy-nation-gulf-oil-spill-top-kill-obama/) and help them fill out a web of effects organizer.
My challenge is Environment vs. Economy. Let me know if you need further clarification or an updated version of the challenge. Thanks for your help!
